On a warm summers day on the Mendip Hills in Rural Somerset, plenty of young masons gathered for a Saturday morning breakfast, then went on to compete in an English Sporting Clay Pigeon Shooting Competition.

The challenge was to see who hit the most clays out of 50 from 5 different stands.

The competition was won by Brother Wayne Brooks, with friends from a neighboring province picking up 2nd and 3rd.

During the day it was announced that the Somerset Masonic Shooting Club has formed and that it would hold events of various disciplines throughout the year.
